Yeah, first post in 2016.
I was working on some new years presents, but it didn't turned out as I wanted and I needed to redo it from scratch, and with a lot of work popping up shortly after new year, there wasn't much time to work on it again.
Also wanted to do a birthday present for REXX, who had in december, but I also wasn't satisfied with it. Sorry Rexx.
Some think my absence here is because I lost interesst, but I simply don't have time to deal with everything at the same time.
Aaaaaand I don't like most of my stuff, I created. It's just not good enough for me.
That's why I am not sharing much these days.
But as you can imagine, I wouldn't post if I doesn't had something to post.
The following one is also some kind of preview of works I did. I just assembled them here.

Well, it's the same anyway. Both is sweet and delicious.
But is this case, it's sucking you like a lollipop.
Now it was her turn to make you feel good...

ReplyDeleteAny chance of you (re)rendering some of such work for 3D viewers like cartboard?
I'm probably oversimplifying it to an insulting degree, but "all that would be needed" would be to make the video square instead of wide, with two viewports, both a bit off-centre, about the width of two eyes, or more for an exaggerated 3D effect.
Dunno how hard / easy your software makes that, or how much render time would be required, but it'd be a fantastic addition, especially considering how cheap Cartboard 3D viewers are.
I know exactly how to do it with Blender at least.
DeleteBut make a scene a good 3D experiance is way more work, because then you can look around in every angle.
Normal scenes are just through that specific camera angle.
Don't want to get your hopes up soon or anything, but I am acutally working on 360° side-by-side videos, but it's not 3DX
BTW: Do you know any good Android app for own 3D/360° content to view?
Not these crappy demo apps with cheap 360° content.
Oh right, the whole 360 degree thing didn't occur to me, I meant just the side-by-side thing for existing videos, otherwise it'd be far too much work, building a whole scenery around it and all.
ReplyDeleteFor side-by-side just any videoplayer should work, as it's really just a normal video with two moving images, as long as it goes full screen without any GUI it should work in any Cartboard viewer, or when crosseyed with flipped left/right viewports, but the glasses are alot more comfortable.
To be honest, for 360 I've only used some official apps, like the youtube viewer and VRSE, nice effects, especially when they're using some of the newer camera hardware that's available, I haven't really looked for any other players, as I haven't found any 360 content outside of those apps, I'm not even sure what fileformat own 360 material would come in to be honest.
I take it your response means that side-by-side revisions of previous videos isn't something you're looking into? And can I ask what kinda stuff it is that you're working on, or is that still.... Secret? :)

Delete360° content comes in simply image format like png or jpg, or if a video in mp4.
It just have a resolution of 4:1.
I am sorry but I can't tell you what I do exactly. It's work related.
I get it, I still think for those POV's SBS would do very nicely ;)

Sadly since I use so many custom morphs, clothes create a lot of glitches while animating...
In stills this can be easily cheated away, but in animations you see it very quickly
That's another reason why I am so eager to switch to Blender. There I have way more controle over it.
When I have some working armor, I usually use them, but as I said, most causes problems, and I hate problems^^

Can you somehow add your all videos, as packs, to mega or torrent somehow so we can enjoy them? Ive spent all my day to download a couple of them. Its not realy good this way.

It worked flawless with both downloads.

DeleteRan into the same issues as a lot of other people with the first one, but I can confirm it works. It just doesn't play nice with VLC, WMP, or QTP. Works great in Media Player Classic though, which most people should be using anyways.
