(it says that all mature content is forbidden on blogger by the date of june 30th)
Is this a scam, a hack or whatever?
Or is this really going to happen?
If so all the blogs you follow here will be gone by sunday
really strange, to give such a major change just 3 days before deadline, so no one can make backups and look for alternitives.
let's see what other artists in my sidebar are saying to this matter
or maybe it was just a spam mail which fooled me
I'm assuming it's not legit as there hasn't been any news about it.
ReplyDeleteGoogle usually gives lengthy leeway so those that are affected have time to find an alternative, unless of course your blog has illegal content. Also, their content policy hasn't been updated saying that mature content is forbidden.
We'll only really know come Sunday but I wouldn't fret on it.
Also note that Reader is closing down on said date, so this may be a bogus scare attaching itself to the same date.
DeleteYou are welcome to post on Ambient Dimension all you want, and I can guarantee I will NOT be banning erotic content, as long as it's 3D!
ReplyDeleteDid you get this in an email or was it sent to you blogger account.
ReplyDeleteI'm going with fake, simply because it's in another language and after doing a search, I can find no other mention of it, except here.
I myself run a blog and have had no contact with this message or any other.
It's just in German because blogger is available in all languages and The Knight is registered in Germany (see the German line under his copyright).
DeleteAs others have gotten it, it's probably legit.
I got one today from google. I think it is legit to be honest. In either case... wordpress as a new home? /shrug
ReplyDeleteTumblr works well.
ReplyDeleteI still think it's fake. Blogger's policy hasn't been updated to mention these new rules at all.
ReplyDeleteIt still says "we do allow adult content on Blogger, including images or videos that contain nudity or sexual activity."
We shall see I guess. If it's true I hope Knight can move to a new site, because his art is too awesome. :)
I hope it´s not...
ReplyDeleteThink it's a fake. But I also think artist like us must have at least two places to post their works.
ReplyDeleteGot the same email but not in german. :( Now I don't think it's a fake.
Delete100% Close -.-
ReplyDeleteWhat i heard in the news earlier is that its not the blogs, but the ads, Google is barring adult blogs from making a profit, although the content is fine.
ReplyDeleteI got this too but yes its advertisement / money making links. Who knows how they will classify that. I am working on a paid domain and will stop using blogger all together for new content. :)
ReplyDeleteWorth noting, Tumblr is still keeping things open to erotic/adult stuff.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.deseretnews.com/article/865582355/Googles-Blogger-cracks-down-on-users-profiting-from-porn-ads.html
ReplyDeleteConfirming that they seem to be cracking down on link ads.
Looks like they're block adult sites with adult ads - http://www.zdnet.com/googles-blogger-to-delete-all-adult-blogs-with-ads-in-three-days-7000017451/
ReplyDeleteOdd since you don't seem to have any ads..
Good luck. Hope you keep publishing. Best wishes.
What will become of The Knight Shines Bright?!
ReplyDeleteI doubt your site will go. I think they are focused on the spider-bot sites that duplicate content and generate links to the 10000-clicks = $5 cash sites.
ReplyDeleteTKSB is still on
ReplyDeleteI read about the ads as well, and so my Blog stays for now here ;)
Good to hear, look forward to the new stuff you have in the works. Last update was awesome.
DeleteAwesome news. Your work is the best! I'm looking forward to the new stuff that you'll post in the future.
